"We initially commissioned Bec for a photography session for our 2008 Annual Review and we liked her way of working and the resulting images.
Having become aware of the full range of services The Design Office has to offer, we chose them to produce the Annual Review.
We are very pleased with the result."

The results
The 2008 Annual Review contains half as many words as the charity’s previous reviews. It relies heavily on photography to communicate the positive outcomes achieved.
The Annual Review scored top marks for design when it was reviewed by Third Sector, the UK’s leading publication for the voluntary and not-for-profit sector.
Kaye Wiggins, the editor of At Work Communications, the newsletter produced by Third Sector commented,
“People will spend only five minutes reading an annual review – this booklet can be read from cover to cover in that time. The aim is to whet readers’ appetites; if they want more information, they can get in touch or go online.”
The Design Office has been retained by the Papworth Trust to produce the photography and design for the 2009 Annual Review.
"Papworth Trust first became aware of The Design Office after seeing some of Rebecca Bacon’s photography for a regional development agency. We felt her photography style fitted well with our desire to use well lit, modern, colourful situations that reflect real life and feature our own clients.

We are pleased to say we have just worked with The Design Office on our 2009 Annual Review, and are very pleased with the result."

The client
The Papworth Trust is a charitable organisation that helps disabled people to access housing, employment, education, personal support and rehabilitation. The aim of the Trust is to make a real difference to the lives of disabled people and ensure they have equality, choice and independence. The Papworth Trust works with over 13,000 disabled people in the East of England and the UK every year.
The Trust strives to change attitudes about disability - working closely with the Government, Local Authorities, businesses and developers to ensure all communities and organisations are accessible and inclusive.
The charity market is competitive and changes to Government policy, giving service users more choice and independence around the services they choose, will intensify the level of competition.
The challenge
The purpose of the Annual Review is to highlight the positive outcomes of the work carried out by the Papworth Trust .The target audience is government ministers and advisers and senior figures in the voluntary sector.
The challenge was to produce a document that people would read. The Papworth Trust commissioned The Design Office to undertake the photography and graphic design for the 2008 Annual Review.
